LOFT Raw Concrete recreates the best of metropolitan ambiances in your home. This easy to apply concrete-look wall coating is ideal for achieving a contemporary look. LOFT Raw is the ultimate concrete look-alike product for interior walls. This is better than faux finish concrete and is the next best thing to real concrete finish. This water-based interior wall coating will seduce by its easy application and great look! And, like most our wall coverings, it can be removed with a wallpaper stripper!
LOFT Raw should be installed on clean and dry walls.
With a large paint brush or roller, apply one or two coats of Undercoat Primer for Wall coatings. Let the painted surface dry completely ±6 hours at 20°C. Do not apply on wallpaper.
Getting ready :
LOFT Raw comes with a small bag (100g) of white powder (containing slack lime). Open it carefully and dilute it with lukewarm water, then mix with LOFT Raw paste. This added element will give the covered wall nuances and depth like real concrete. Make sure you mix the two products really well. A paint mixer is mandatory for this step. Once mixed, the product should be used quickly (±48hrs). Please note that London color doesn't need lime addition.
Application :
- Using a Stainless Steel float, apply a thin coat (2mm) to your well-prepared wall. Work on areas of approx 3 to 4 m². Once you have well covered your surface, come back with your cleaned tool and create a pattern. Make sure you keep regular, even strokes for the whole wall. We suggest you start in an upper corner of your wall and work your way down diagonally to the opposite lower corner.
- Let the LOFT Raw dry for 30 minutes up to ±2 h. Then, with a sponge or a water sprayer, lightly humidify the surface (work on ±3m² at one time). With your stainless steel float, scrape off any undesired peaks and polish the softened surface using circular movements. This step will create a polished concrete look.
Protection :
If you wish to make the surface water and stain resistant, apply one coat of Clear Protector. Let LOFT Raw dry completely, at least 24 hours, before applying the protector.
