Aluminum sulphate is a mordant mainly used as a fixing agent for stains with a vegetal pigment base.
Added to Brou de noix stain (up to 10%) it will thicken and slow down the drying process.
Applied on wood, it helps to fix natural colouring.
Application:
Suggested dilution:
To create a mordant, dilute 50 grams of sulphate in one liter of lukewarm water.
Apply directly on wood. Once completely dry apply the stain.
Health:
Inhalation of material can be harmful. Contact may cause burns to skin and eyes. Fire may produce irritating,
corrosive and/or toxic gases.
First Aid:
Administer oxygen if breathing is difficult. In case of contact with substance, immediately flush skins or eyes
with running water for at least 20 minutes.
