Copper Sulfate is a water-soluble mordant.
Also known as cupric sulfate, it is used to accentuate vegetal wood dies.
Water-soluble mordant used to accentuate color. Excellent on tannic woods
and for giving ferrous metals an oxidized, rustic look.
Suggested dilution:
To created a mordant, dilute 50grams of copper sulfate in 1 litre of warm water.
Apply directly on wood, let dry completely and then apply stain.
Health:
Inhalation of material can be harmful. Contact may cause burns to skin and eyes. Fire may produce irritating, corrosive and/or toxic gases.
First Aid:
Administer oxygen if breathing is difficult. In case of contact with substance, immediately flush skins or eyes
with running water for at least 20 minutes.
