Size: 100, 250, 500 grams or 1 kilo

Gum arabic, also known as acacia gum, is a natural gum made of hardened sap taken from two species of the acacia tree.
Gum arabic is used as a binder for watercolor painting because it dissolves easily in water. It is also used as a crazing medium.

Application:

Dilute one part gum in enough lukewarm water to create a lump free paste.

Recipe for crazing medium (source: l'Étoffe Rustique)
• 250gr Gum arabic
• 750ml lukewarm water
In a jar with a good closing lid (Mason type jar) combine the gum and water. Mix well and let disolve completly.Mesure one part of this mixture and combine with one part of fish glue. Combine well. On a dry coat of paint, apply the gum-glue mixture using a foam painting roller. Since this type of roller does not apply lots of product, you can build up a few coats of the mixture. Once dry to touch, apply the second coat of paint.
